Your complaint has been screened in and is being investigated. The investigation of your complaint has been referred to another police service to conduct the investigation. The investigation of your complaint will be assigned to a member of Professional Standards Branch of the indicated police service that is specially trained to investigate complaints and other incidents of police misconduct.

The OIPRD has asked the investigating service to attempt to complete the investigation of this complaint within 120 days. Once the investigation is complete, the investigating service will forward a copy of their investigation to the service of the involved RO. You will also receive a copy of the investigative report detailing the investigation that was carried out and the conclusions reached; as well as any review options available to you. The OIPRD will oversee this investigation and will also be provided with a copy of the investigative report.
